This is a walk cycle i made using a strict layered workflow to create an appealing animation in the least amount of time.

Let's get the feet moving.
Having the COM react to the movement.
Getting some springy movement in the spine.
Swinging the arms to stay in balance.
Having the fingers follow through.
Polish pass 1: offsetting some keys and adjusting the F-curves.
Polish pass 2: switching the legs between IK and FK for better arcs.
Polish pass 3: having the knees and breasts react on impact.
